It has been 70 years since the beggining of Banda El Recodo. When this band was started it has hard to imagine the sucess that Banda del Recodo would reach. Banda el Recodo was started by Don Cruz Lizarraga, with a great sucess, now in days Banda El Recodo has great sucess in all 5 continents. The Banda started in Mazatlan Sinaloa place that will see the 70 year celebration. Currently Banda El Recodo is reaching great success with their most recent hit called "Que Bonito es Lo Bonito".

The celebration will be on February 4th day that the famous Mazatlan Carnival starts
in Sinaloa aproximatelly 20 different bands will be performing as well. THe main event of the night is expected when for the first time Banda El Recodo "La madre de todas las bandas" will perform with Julio Preciado and Julio Ledezma "El Coyote"

According to Poncho Lizarraga the performance will include many new hits but most important they will include hits from 30, 40, or even 50 years ago. According to him it is important that the new generations appreciate music and continue growing the great songs. They will be singing their own songs as well as other songs sang by other famous singers.
